Ervaring Laia Pascual Garcia

“For a long time, I was searching for volunteering opportunities, but when I came across United for all I was persuaded this was the right organization for me because it helps me put into practice my studies while working with other students. “

My name is Laia Pascual Garcia and I am studying the research Master Social and Cultural Science at Radboud University. I am the head of the Online Content Team and I have been a volunteer for United for All since June 2020.

I chose to be a volunteer because I wanted to try to tackle the societal issues that I am studying in my masters such as social cohesion and inequality. For a long time, I was searching for volunteering opportunities, but when I came across United for all I was persuaded this was the right organization for me because it helps me put into practice my studies while working with other students. The opportunity to work alongside students from different educational backgrounds and learn from each other is a strong element that convinced me to join United for All.

As the Head of Online Content, I coordinate all the projects from our team and create content for our social media. Moreover, I seldom support the other members of the team in the formulation and development of the projects. The most important aspect of my position is to produce content that highlights the issues in Nijmegen that United for All wants to tackle while communicating them in such a way that it is understandable by everybody.

What I appreciate the most from United for All is the possibility to give something back to society while working with my peers. Personally, as an international student, I have always felt welcome. Without a doubt, United for all is an international-friendly organization.
